FEATURES

  • Jobless Recovery
A 2007 housing slump gave way to a credit crisis in 2008 that Wall Street had not seen since the Great Depression. Investment banks collapsed or were absorbed by commercial banks. The resulting credit freeze sent shock waves through the global financial system, giving the U.S. recession the potential to become a global economic meltdown.
