Ben Stein's résumé includes economist, lawyer, professor, speech writer, screenwriter, actor, humorist, novelist and TV show host. A vocal supporter of the Republican Party, Stein worked at the White House for both Presidents Nixon and Ford. After, he focused his attention on the entertainment industry. Stein writes regularly on topics ranging from his Hollywood experiences to complex economic issues. His books include How to Ruin Your Financial Life and How to Ruin the United States of America.

Antonio Gonzalez helms the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project (SVREP), the country's oldest and largest nonpartisan Latino voter participation organization. He guided the undertaking of the '96 Latino Vote USA and Latino Vote 2000 campaigns, which mobilized record numbers of new voters. For the '06 midterm elections, the SVREP launched a Spanish and English language media campaign targeting young people. Gonzalez also hosts Strategy Session on Pacifica's KPFK radio in Los Angeles.

Sandy Banks likes to write about people whose stories are rarely told. She does that as a columnist for the Los Angeles Times. A native of Cleveland, OH, Banks graduated from Cleveland State University and planned on becoming a teacher. Her job at a local paper, reporting on police, education and city government, changed her career plans. She joined the Times in '79 as a reporter and has held positions as an editor, editorial writer, education writer and director of the paper's internship program.
