The Cook Political Report's Amy Walter handicaps key Congressional races in the midterm elections. British singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae talks about her musical inspiration and performs a song from her self-titled debut CD.

Amy Walter is Senior Editor for the Cook Political Report, a nonpartisan newsletter that analyzes elections and campaigns. She has an extensive background in electoral politics and also does analysis for CNN, where she provided Election Night commentary the last two general elections. In '00, she won The Washington Post Outlook section's Crystal Ball competition for her accurate predictions of election outcomes. Walter was previously adjunct professor at American University's School of Communication.
Corinne Bailey Rae
British singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae's self-titled debut CD entered the UK album chart at #1 and won several Grammy nods. After two years away, she recently returned with her sophomore project, "The Sea." Rae studied classical violin and began singing harmonies in church. At age 15, she started an indie band and, during college, worked in a local jazz club and did some session work. Her songs have been featured on several film soundtracks, and she's collaborated with well-known jazz musicians, including Herbie Hancock.
