Dr. Prediman Shah explains the risks of and treatments for cardiovascular disease. Award-winning actress Patty Duke discusses her new project, Falling in Love With the Girl Next Door.

Internationally renowned cardiologist Dr. Prediman Shah directs the work of the Division of Cardiology and the Atherosclerosis Research Center at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He's also a professor at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine. Shah helped develop one of the promising new drugs that could reduce cholesterol buildup, without bypass surgery or balloon angioplasty. He's lectured around the world as a visiting professor and chairs the American Heart Association's Educational Task Force.
Patty Duke
Patty Duke has had a long and celebrated career, winning an Oscar and three Emmys. She earned Broadway fame at age 12 in The Miracle Worker and enjoyed success as a teen with a self-titled sitcom. In the early '80s, Duke was diagnosed with manic depression and wrote about her struggles in A Brilliant Madness. A voice for mental health, she has an Online Center for Mental Wellness, where she maintains a Web log. Duke can next be seen in the new Hallmark Channel TV movie, Falling in Love With the Girl Next Door.
