Frank Nothaft is the chief economist for Freddie Mac - one of the country's largest suppliers of home loan funds. With the mortgage finance giant since '86, he previously served as deputy chief economist and a senior economist. He was also with the Federal Reserve System's Board of Governors in the mortgage and consumer finance section. An expert on housing issues and macroeconomic analysis, Nothaft is often seen on local and national media outlets. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University.
