Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chair Sen. Jay Rockefeller discusses U.S. intelligence failures and previews confirmation hearings on John Negroponte. Actor-producer Anthony LaPaglia describes the difficulty in making indie films.
Sen. Jay Rockefeller
A member of the famous oil family, John D. ('Jay') Rockefeller, IV was first elected as West Virginia's senator in '84. He previously served as secretary of state and two terms as governor. After college, the New York native did a stint in the Peace Corps, followed by VISTA volunteer service, which took him to West Virginia. Rockefeller's committee assignments include Veterans' Affairs and Intelligence, for which he serves as Vice Chair. He's also an advocate for health care reform and children's issues.
Anthony LaPaglia
Actor Anthony LaPaglia was a teacher in his native Australia. He moved to NYC intending to pursue a fulltime position in the field. Instead, an odd job led to an acting career. Not one to be typecast - he was often cast as a New York tough guy - he's become a versatile actor. Among his awards are 2 Emmys, for his recurring role on NBC's Frasier and his star-making turn in CBS's Without a Trace, and a Tony. With the indie film, Winter Solstice, LaPaglia is expanding his résumé to include exec producer.
