One of the most important dance music figures of the early '90s, Moby played punk rock and speed metal before finding fame in the rave scene. Rolling Stone voted 'Go,' his first solo release, one of the top 200 records of all time, and his breakthrough '99 album, 'Play,' went double platinum. He typically plays every instrument and does all of the production on his projects. With his new CD, "Hotel," Moby renovates his techno sound. Teany Book, his quirky new cookbook, is named after his tea shop on Manhattan's Lower East Side.
